you take out the DRL fuse under the dash. that's the daytime running lights.
If you are parked with the motor running, engage the parking/emergency brake. Turn the ignition off and restart the engine. The daytime running lights should not be on.
You have to go to the dealer and ask them to turn them off, otherwise they leave them on as running headlights. They will do this for free.
yes. it has a sensor on the dashboard up close to the windshield. when the light is low enough, your headlights turn on automatically
I believe most GM cars the daytime running lights can be turned off by applying the parking brake.
If for example you are at the drive-in movies and want to start your 2004 Grand Prix GT without the headlights coming on and lighting up the movie screen(and getting honked at), just simply turn the headlight switch on the lever, rotate it back towards you while the car is running or before you turn it on. Simple, best regards...Travis Goode
on my 2003 there is a knob on the left hand side of the dash that controls the headlites. if you turn it all the way to the left (its spring loaded) while the vehicle is on the lites will turn off.
If Its an older Grand Marquis its easy. Find the knob that you pull out to turn on the headlights. Now, just turn it clockwise and the light will turn off!
Find the headlight switch. It is located on the far LH end of the dashboard just under the top of the dash. Turn all the way clockwise to turn on the headlights. Or you can turn all the way counterclockwise and the headlights will turn on automatically when it gets dark.
Try applying parking brake
On idicater stalk right next to where you turn the headlights on
What year is the vehicle? Did you check the fuse?
