I terminal on the selonoid, you need a switched 12V for auto choke
it connects to any positive(hot wire) terminal controlled by key.
The wire that goes to the automatic choke is actually black. You can find the complete wiring diagram here. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/archives/info/wiringt1.php - - - - - It's whatever color the last guy to change the wire had some of in his toolbox. These cars are old enough and have been worked on by so many people, they're all different. There is one wire running from the + terminal on the coil to the carb. It connects to the automatic choke, and to the fuel cutoff plunger.
You have to cut it and buy a new one. It cannot be disassembled unless you cut the wires.
The electric choke wire connects to the electric choke assembly on the carburetor. It's a round, black plastic assembly that is on the side of a STOCK carburetor. There SHOULD be a connection on the "HOT" side of the coil that lets you connect the choke wire.
I had the same problem with my 1970 mustang. First take the wire off of the Temperature sending unit (usually on the front of the block) and ground out the wire and see if the gauge goes up on the dash. if so it is just a temperature sending unit. They cost about 7 dollars.
To connect the auto choke wire on a Mazda 323, locate the choke solenoid on the carburetor, which typically has two terminals. Connect the auto choke wire to the positive terminal of the solenoid, ensuring a secure connection. The other terminal should be grounded to the vehicle's chassis to complete the circuit. Always refer to the specific wiring diagram for your model year to ensure proper connections.
sure it will
green.
Key-on 12 volts, single wire.
Yes, what is the question regarding the choke? Look on the right side of the carb, it is a round ceramic element with a wire going to it...
If there is only one wire connection on the electric choke then that wire needs to be a positive wire. You will want to run one that only has voltage when you turn on the key. If it has two connections, one is positive and one is ground. Same thing as the positive connection on the single wire type....then simply run the other terminal to a good ground.
I need how to wire relay for 1991 ford mustang.
