Usually oil burning problems are caused by either worn rings or failed valve guide seals. Either way, it will require an engine rebuild to solve those problems. Rarely, sludge buildup around the piston ring groves can capture the rings and oil can leak past the rings, causing the engine to burn a lot of oil. In that case, there is an extremely low possibility that you can run some solvent through the oil, then run the engine for a brief time and drain the oil, hopefully washing out some of the sludge and get a little improvment... but don't count on it.

Bad gaskets- including a head gasket- would be a likely suspect.
A person should be able to trouble shoot problems in a car. A vehicle would stall out after starting because of a failure in the fuel system, or it could be a bad O2 sensor.
I have had shift problems with my trooper and eventually traced it to low battery voltage, ie failing battery or alternator, they record faults on the onboard trans computer also, so maybe a trip to the local agents and ask them to download the transmission faults and see if this helds your diagnosis in any way.
A 2000 Isuzu Trooper may stall at a stoplight due to several potential issues, including a faulty idle air control valve, a clogged fuel filter, or vacuum leaks. These problems can disrupt the air-fuel mixture, leading to insufficient engine power at low speeds. Additionally, a failing fuel pump or ignition system components, such as spark plugs or coils, might also cause stalling. It's advisable to have the vehicle diagnosed by a mechanic to pinpoint the exact cause.

The ABS module detects a problem with the ABS system. Your local auto parts store can read the code(s) stored in the ABS module to help determine the cause. As long as the ABS light remains on the ABS system will not function if needed.
Your 2001 Isuzu Trooper may stall when hot due to several potential issues, such as a failing fuel pump, a clogged fuel filter, or a malfunctioning ignition system. Heat can exacerbate these problems, causing components to expand and fail under load. Additionally, issues with the engine's sensors, like the coolant temperature sensor or the idle air control valve, can also lead to stalling when the engine reaches operating temperature. It's advisable to have a diagnostic check performed to pinpoint the exact cause.
If your 1999 Isuzu Trooper can't exceed 25 mph, the issue may be related to the transmission. Start by checking the transmission fluid level and condition; low or dirty fluid can cause shifting problems. If the fluid is fine, consider inspecting the transmission filter, solenoids, or checking for error codes using an OBD-II scanner. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it may be necessary to consult a professional mechanic for a thorough diagnosis and repair.
