Each wheel has a tire pressure sensor on it, which detects the pressure of the tire, and has a radiotransmitter that reports that pressure to the TPMS computer. The computer compares to the pressure reported by the sensor to the expected pressure programmed by Ford at the factory (as far as I know, this cannot be changed even at the dealer). If there is a certain discrepancy between expected and reported (I believe that it may be 4PSI under expected), it throws the dash light and the 'TIRE PRESSURE LOW' or similar message on your Message Center. Below a certain pressure, that low pressure warning on the M/C changes to "WARNING - TIRE VERY LOW" or similar. If a problem is detected with the TPMS system (computer trouble, sensor malfunction, missing sensor signal, etc), the computer again fires off the dash light, and you get a 'TPMS FAULT' or similar message on the M/C.
how do you reset a 2008 kia spectre tpms light?
On a 2007 Ford Explorer : ( NO ) the spare tire does not a sensor for the Tire Pressure Monitoring System ( TPMS )
Tire Pressure Monitor Sistem
Yes easily. They are about 30.00 ea
Yes, the TPMS sensors on a 2002 Ford Explorer can be activated using a magnet. The TPMS sensors typically have a relearn procedure that involves activating each sensor using a specific method, which may include the use of a magnet. By activating the sensors, the system can relearn their positions and pressures to ensure accurate tire pressure monitoring. It's important to consult the vehicle's manual or a professional technician for the specific relearn procedure for the 2002 Ford Explorer.

TPMS stands for tire pressure monitoring system. So perhaps one of your tires is a lttle below the set pressure.
In the 2008 Chevrolet HHR, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor is located inside each tire, attached to the valve stem. Each sensor monitors the tire's air pressure and communicates with the vehicle's onboard computer system. If the tire pressure falls below a certain threshold, the TPMS warning light on the dashboard will illuminate. For maintenance or replacement, the tires must be removed to access the sensors.
I dont think a 2006 has a tpms
