Sounds more like a thermostat or water pump. The fan clutch locks up when it is toast. Fan will wiggle a bit when the water pump is shot.

how long will it take to replace the clutch in my 2002 renault clio
The thermostat comes in a housing that bolts directly to the motor, and is located on the driver side of the motor, near the bottom, instead of the top. To get to it you have to remove the battery and left front wheel. You also need a very long extension for your socket to go through the wheel well to remove, and install, the bolts holding the thermostat housing to the motor. Uhmmm...I'm not so sure this is correct. I believe if you follow your top hose the the block, you will find your thermostat there. Its encased in a housing. If your facing the vehicle, it should be on the left hand side.
the Trailblazer EXT is the long wheelbase version. LS and LT are simply trim levels.
