1,479,300 Corvettes have been made from 1953 through 2010.
1,450,150 Corvettes have been made from 1953 through 2008.
The 1953-55 Corvettes were almost identical. The C-1 Corvette built from 1953-62 were all very similar. Since that time, the Corvette got bigger and looks nothing like the original. YES There are C-5 Series Corvettes on the road that have been professionaly re-bodied to look like a 1953-54-55 Corvette. They are extremely similar in appearance. The workmanship, fit and finish is excellent. Fey usually fetch premium $$$ when sold.
If you are talking about a Ford 350 engine, they have never built a 350. They have built a 351 & 352 but not a 350. If you are talking about the F350 it has been built since 1953.
According to a National Geographic show I watched on September 24 2009, there has been about 1.4 million made. A 2003 blog reported aver a million. It doesn't seem like a lot.
The Chevrolet Corvette is a high performance American sports car made by General Motors beginning in 1953. All of the 1953 Corvettes were made in Flint, Michigan with first two production units completed on June 30, 1953. The 1954 to 1981 Corvettes were made in St. Louis, Missouri. The last Corvette built at St. Louis was completed on August 1, 1981.In 1981 there was a two month overlap in production of Corvettes as some were made in St. Louis and the remaining were made in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The first Corvette completed in the Bowling Green plant rolled off the line on June 1, 1981 and all Corvettes have been made there ever since. In 1983, only 44 Corvettes were built (no actual production run for that year) but only one of them still remains which is housed at the National Corvette Museum. The Corvette is considered America's premier sports car and has had one of the longest production runs of any car in history.Thank You!I knew that corvettes were made in flint hills for a while but i didn't know that they were made in St. Louis until 81!I have also wanted to know when the first was made. From,A big corvette fan!
