If my math is correct , almost 293 cubic inches
( using a 4 inch bore that is bored out .030 and a 2.87 inch stroke )
406 cubic inches .

A ford 302/5.0 will be 306ci if bored .030 (4.030" bore)
If my math is correct , almost 410 cubic inches ( using a 4 inch bore and a 4 inch stroke that has been bored out .040 )
If my math is correct : using a 4 inch bore and a 3.48 inch stroke , with the cylinders bored .060 , just over ( 360 cubic inches )

BIG BLOCK OR SMALL BLOCK DOES NOT DEPEND ON CUBIC INCHES . IT IS THE DESIGN OF THE BLOCK ITS SELF.
a Ford 400 had a 4 inch bore and 4 inch stroke. Simplest math motor EVER!! Given 4" bore x 4" stroke x pi (3.14) x 8 cylinders = 402 cubic inches. Bore this thing out .060 and you get: 4.060 x 4 x 3.14 x 8 = 408 cubic inches.

A "400 small block bored over 30" refers to a 400 cubic inch small block Chevrolet engine that has been bored out by 0.030 inches. This modification increases the engine's displacement slightly, which can enhance performance by allowing for more air and fuel to enter the combustion chamber. The term "bored" indicates that the diameter of the engine's cylinders has been enlarged, which can lead to improved power output and efficiency.
