There are ( 6 ) fuel injectors
Fuel injectors just bougt as parts range from $40 -150 and up, depending on what kind of car it is and what the source is. It is very unlikely that a 2006 car would need to have fuel injectors replaced for any reason.
Rock Auto Sells remanufactured injectors for around $40
Cars that have electronic fuel pumps, has to have at least 40 psi. This is true for all vehicles since the fuel injectors needs this much pressure to operate properly.
All fuel injected engines from the 80's on use an electric pump. Most mounted in the fuel tank. No mechanical pump will put out the 40 plus PSI it takes to run injectors.
Fuel pressure should be around 40. If the injectors are not getting power it will not start. Start with a crank sensor first.
Basic fuel injection for a 5.0 is common, weather a MGM, Explorer, or Mustang. The GT-40 is a series of more powerfull parts that will fit pretty much any 5.0 motor. An Explorer 5.0 intake will fit a Mustang, if both have factory parts. Some Explorer's had parts that were close to the GT-40 designs, and will offer more horsepower then regular factory parts.
i dont know either, i have the smae problem if you find out, let me know That also happened on my 1987 Celebrity, it turned out to be bad fuel injectors. Check resistance of the individual injectors. It should be a minimum of 7.4 ohms. It could also be a bad fuel pump or fuel filter To check fuel pressure: Attach a fuel pump pressure gauge at the schraeder valve (on top of fuel rail). Pressure should read 40 to 45 psi.
For a 1995 Ford Explorer , 4.0 liter , EFI , V6 engine : With engine idling ( 30 PSI ) Key On / Engine Off ( 39 to 40 PSI )
It is an Explorer.
One source cites: 30 lbs at idle, 35-40 lbs in normal operationIf the fuel pressure is not at least 45 lbs it will not fire the injectors. It should run approx 60 lbs.
This might be due to a clogged fuel filter. They are inexpensive & should be fairly easy to replace.
if this is a 2.6L V6 engine setup then there are two fuel pumps. one pump is located internaly inside the fuel tank with sender unit,it is a low pressure pump. the other one is located under the car mounted on the frame, it is a high press pump (40 psi) for the injectors
