There are many variables incuding camshaft selection, headers, is it carbureted or fuel injected? Turbo (s)? Nitrous? Etc., etc. Normally a good rule of thumb for a mild rebuild with 4 barrel and headers is approximately .75 to 1.25 horsepower per cubic inch.
Example:
302ci @ .030 over is 306ci.
306ci x .75hp = 229.5hp
306ci x 1.25hp=383hp
With an average 306hp It will move out pretty quick in a light car like a Mustang.
These are just averages and could range greatly one way or the other depending on how radical or mild you decide to build it. With a single turbo and some good tuning 475-500hp isn't out of the question. At that point you will want to seriously consider strengthening the bottom end with a forged crank. I could ramble but it will get edited out anyway Good Luck with the build!
As much as your wallet can afford.
That depends on the components used. It can vary from around 150 to over 1000.
The bore adds about 10 cu. inches to make it a 337
The term "2.4 engine bored over" typically refers to an engine's displacement being increased by enlarging the cylinder bore, but it doesn't directly correlate to horsepower. The horsepower of a 2.4-liter engine can vary widely based on its design, tuning, and other factors. Generally, a stock 2.4-liter engine may produce anywhere from 150 to 200 horsepower, but this can change significantly with modifications. For a precise horsepower figure, it's best to refer to the specific engine model in question.
its called nothing because you wouldn't have a ENGINE left if you bored it 4" over
A 289 bored .030 over.
A 427 bored .60 over is 438.8572417 or basically a 439.
A 262 bored 30 over.
332
A Chevy 305 engine bored .040 over would typically be referred to as having a +.040 bore, indicating the increase in bore diameter from the standard size. This modification can increase the engine's displacement and potentially enhance its performance.
An Oldsmobile 455 engine that is bored over .060 inches is commonly referred to as a "467 cubic inch" engine. This modification increases the engine's displacement, which can enhance performance and power output. The term "bored over" indicates that the cylinder bores have been enlarged to accommodate larger pistons, thus increasing the engine's overall capacity.
A 350 bored 40 over is a automobile engine which has had its displacement increased to 383 cubic inches. This results in more power without needing to purchase a new engine.
