Depends on the mechanic, what they will qoute you, and how many struts you have to replace. Anything more than $550 for a pair is unreasonable since the parts will only be $130 for each strut assembly. My best qoute for my front struts was $498 plus a free alignment. But since I can't afford even that, I bought the parts myself and I am going to try to replace them....should be fun.
1 per wheel/replace in pairs. You are lucky-they are cheaper than struts & easier to replace.
