19 mpg city and 28 mpg hyway
I get between 27 and 30 mpg
probly around 28-30 MPG
I have an 04 Grand Prix and I average around 22-24 mpg city, and as much as 31 mpg highway.
The average gas mileage for a 1997 grand prix is 18-20 MPG in the city and 21 MPG on the highway..
The 2000 Grand Prix GT has an 18 gallon gas tank. Also, check our owner's manual for mpg too.

Grand Prix: 2.8 Liter V6, Auto Transmission: 18 - 27 MPG 2.8 Liter V6, Manual Transmission: 16 - 27 MPG 3.1 Liter V6, Auto Transmission: 17 - 28 MPG I have the same year car with a 3.1 liter V6, I get about 29 - 30 mpg driving mostly on the freeway with cruise control.
With a 3.8 mine gets about 17-18 mpg/

I noticed a nice gain in fuel economy by doing an intake system and exhaust system. One thing to note on these cars, is that they are computer controlled, every 30 miles the computer reprograms itself to optimize your fuel economy. I have seen from 33 up to 38 mpg with just the 2 above modifications.
I get 19 mpg in town and 28 Mpg freeway
