If it's a 4 cylinder 2.3 liter motor the coolant gauge will have one wire. The terminal on the sensor will appear to look like it has threads on it.
on the front, top of the engine. look near the upper coolant hose on the engine for a sensor with a couple of wires on it. There may be 2 in close proximity that look similar.
There are either two or three wires on a water temperature sensor for a 2000 Ford Ranger 4.0.
look under the throttle body on the front of the engine there s a sensor with 3 wires going to it that is the engine coolant temperature sensor
Rewiring a temperature is absolutely necessary when the wire has frayed since the temperature gauge in the car will not work with a burnt wire. Locate the frayed wires and cut them off. Measure the amount of new wiring needed and solder them on.
The temperature sender for the coolant is located in the water outlet. The upper radiator hose goes to the water outlet. The sensor with 2 wires goes to the gauge and the sensor with 3 wires goes to the computer.
The coolant temperature sensor, on your 1999 Nissan, is located a few inches above the water pump. The sensor will have two wires going to it.
The 2003 Mazda engine coolant temperature sensor is located on the front of the engine, above the thermostat housing. The sensor will have to wires leading to it.
Check coolant sensor for corrosion at the wires or the sensor itself . If corrosion, replace sensor or repair wires.
There are two on a 1994 Ram, one on each side of the thermostat housing. The one with one wire is for the temp gauge. The sensor with two wires is for the computer.
check your egr that is not plugged also do you have any engine codes?
It is in the water outlet. It is a casting with 4 holes in it. One for the top of the radiator cooling hose. One for the gauge sensor. One for the computer computer, and another one for the heater hose. There are 2 temperature sensors. The one with 2 wires instead of 1 is for the computer. The sensor with 1 wire is for the gauge.
