Theoretically about 2000-3000 lbs, but keep in mind the Duster 340 was not designed to be a tow vehicle.
Orange....
5,384 73 RRs had the 340

chiltons repair manual from the library will have the answer.
Yes. Any 73 and up Duster or Valiant hood would fit.
tee-pee side up, other side into the engine.
You need to replace the k-member with 1 from a v8 Duster, it has the proper engine mount brackets, would also replace front drums with disc brakes if it has drum, with added power, need better braking. you can buy a conversion kit also if you cant find a k member these mounts will bolt right in to the existing k member and bolt to the v-8
yes I believe 72 was the last year of the 340 and in 73 they started with the 360.
73 miles is 117.482 km
It is: 73-37 = 36
On ultimate conditions and the fastest of going you might get 75mph if the nitro is running at its peak i know i had a '73 400 nitro with a hooker exhaust system. I also had a '73 340 nitro on the best conditions i could get roughly 73 mph but the temperature had to be 0 or below to do that.
according to the books '68-'71 the 340 was rated @ 275hp, in '72 &'73 it was 240hp because of lower compression & it had heads from the 360 which had 1.88/160 valves... I remember reading an article in Chrysler Power Magazine about 15 years ago that they were underrated on paper due to insurance costs & that the '68-'71 actually pumped out over 300hp!! does anyone know if this is true??
