The computer for a 4 cyl 2000 model is around $650.00 - $700.00. So I would guess about the same for a 2001 The computer will also have to "flashed" or programmed to fit you car's specific model and options. This usually cost another $100.00. If you take the car to the shop then your going spend $1000.00 or so. As far as I know, you can not purchase a new computer for this car. They are all refurbished. If your 2001 is a v6 model then the cost may be slightly different.
I had to replace the engine in my 2001 stratus SE and it ran me 900 dollars.

If you are referring to top speed, that is in the computer programming and can not be changed.
the brake sensor for the 2001 dodge stratus is located on the inside of the car under the brake paddle.
