This is a very common problem with the 3.4 engine. It depends on if you plan on doing it yourself of having a mechanic do it for you.
Felpro gaskets are expensive just the gasket kit alone will cost about 160 so you would have to figure labor in to install it. I can't remember of the top of my head how many hours are charged in the labor book but im guess it is about 7 or 8 hours. so what ever the mechanic shop charges per hour ( 50 - 85 ) dollars usually it is a pretty costly item to due. I have done hundreds of the intake gasket replacement and I usually charged 725.00 witch included antifreeze and other items needed to do the job right the first time.
how to replace a distributor gasket on a 2000 Pontiac grand am 3.4l

blown head gasket is the usual reason for oil in coolant or radiator. sad part is if you have already replaced intake gasket, u wasted your money as you will have to replace again when you fix head gasket
The Intake gasket is leaking, NOT THE HEAD GASKET. Replace the intake gasket
The only fix for a bad intake gasket is to remove the intake manifold and replace the gasket.
NO. You MUST replace the intake gasket.
by the lower intake manifold while you are doing this you should replace the intake manifold gasket anyway because it will leak sooner or later.
Yes, you must install a new intake manifold gasket.
Replace gasket why does gasket keep sliding
there is no lower intake gasket, only a front and rear gasket
The cost to replace the intake gasket on a 1997 Pontiac Transport typically ranges from $300 to $600, depending on labor rates and whether any additional repairs are needed. This estimate includes both parts and labor, with the gasket itself usually costing between $30 and $100. It's advisable to get a detailed quote from a mechanic to account for any specific issues your vehicle may have.
I was having a problem with my intake manifold gasket on my 2003 Pontiac grand am and i took it to a shop it was 600 dollars parts and labor you can get it much cheaper i just chose a mechanic i could trust. now it may not be intake manifold gasket the best way to tell is to lift your oil cap look at the backside of it and if there is a blueish tint liquid on the cap then your getting condensation which means bad intake gasket. But it can also be your thermostat housing messing up which would be much cheaper.
