not sure of the horsepower but you will gain about 10 more horse with a 4 bbl.
The first generation Chevolet Chevelle SS was produced from 1963-1964. It had a 283-cubic-inch four barrel v8 engine with 220 horsepower. It was priced at US$1,501.
A 1971 Chevelle SS with a 350 engine typically produced around 245 horsepower in its stock configuration. However, with upgrades like a 171 Comp Cam, Flowmaster exhaust, and a 4-barrel carburetor, you can expect an increase in horsepower, potentially raising it to around 300-350 horsepower, depending on the specific tuning and overall condition of the engine. Exact numbers can vary based on additional modifications and tuning.
160 horsepower - 2 barrel carburetor 180 horsepower - 4 barrel carburetor
1970. While the 350 was never the base engine for the Chevelle, 2 and 4 barrel versions of the 350 were available in the Chevelle from 1970-1977.
Straight 6 = single barrel rochester. V8=either a rochester 2 barrel, or quadrajet.
190 Horsepower.
145 if it has a 2 barrel, 165 with the 4 barrel.
A stock 302 engine with a two barrel Carb has 210 horsepower and 300 lb ft of torque, with a four barrel, 230 horsepower and 310 lb ft of torque.
Depends.... If it had a straight 6 or a 2 barrel 283, no. If it had a 327, most likely, especially if it has the L-79 (350 HP 327) in it. The first truly fast Chevelle was the 1965 Z16.... It was the first time the 396 was installed in the Chevelle.
If that's a 360 - 4 barrel ( 170 horsepower / 160 horsepower in California ) Actually the E58 360 4 barrel with dual exhaust was rated at 195 HP! I own one!
I have one and am thinking of putting a red dot sight on it. The only way to go would be a custom rail on the barrel imo.
The 2 barrel had 145 hp, the 4 barrel was 165.
