It is advertised that the ls1 trans am gets 305 horsepower but it really gets 345 horsepower, GM didnt want the trans am competing with the corvette
The 1997 Trans Ams have 285 horsepower. The WS6 models had 305.

The LT1 Trans am is rated to have 275whp from the factory.
From the factory it was rated at 400 horsepower.
1970 Pontiac catalina coupe and sedan had a standard 350 255 horsepower the 400 was optional rated at 265 horsepower
