How much is a head gasket?

A Head Gasket is absolutly no more than $250.00. My father is a mechanic and he had repaired my first car. The only thing that was wrong with it was that it had a blown head gasket so i think that it should be about right. On the other hand if there is more than just one thing wrong with the car then it will defineantly cost more. Also it will cost a lot more if you have to have someone else at a shop do it for you because they will charge you for the time and labor that they had to put into it. It really helps if you have someone that knows how to work on cars in the family. I do and i love it cause now i have my own car and i didn't have to pay more than $350.00 for every thing. I paid $150.00 for the car so i only had to pay for the head gasket witch was $200.00 for me.
