Not all that expensive. Typically between 50 and 75 bucks. The labor is what kills you though. Most places charge 100-200 to put it in on top of the part cost that they mark up on you. If you buy it from Orielly or somewhere else and do it yourself you should stay under 100. Starters are very easy to put in too. I suggest you do that.

you just need to hone it out and replace parts with rebuild kit.
