It would depend on the vehicle but I would say at least one hour labor plus what the part cost.
Labor costs to fix a harmonic balancer on a 1998 Toyota Tacoma typically range from $100 to $200, depending on the shop's hourly rate and the complexity of the job. This repair usually takes about 2 to 4 hours, depending on the technician's experience and the vehicle's condition. It's best to get a few quotes from local mechanics to find the best price. Additionally, parts costs should be considered, which can vary based on whether you choose OEM or aftermarket components.
The cost of a harmonic balancer typically ranges from $50 to $300, depending on the make and model of the vehicle and whether it's an aftermarket or OEM part. Labor costs for installation can add another $100 to $300, depending on the complexity of the job. It's advisable to check with local mechanics or auto parts stores for specific pricing based on your vehicle.
If your Sonata has less than 100,000 miles, take it to your dealer. Parts and labor are covered under the drive train 10 year warrantee.
I had mine replaced on a 92 PA ultra. The Ultra has two serpentine belts, so it is a little more expensive than a single pulley. My total cost was just under $200 with the labor cost being about $100.
Replacing brake rotors on a Chrysler Pacifica will vary in price depend on the labor cost. The price should be around $150 dollars.
6 hours
It costs about $40-$50 for the part. However it will cost much more for the labor because you must remove everything from the right side of the engine (drivebelts, harmonic balancer, engine mount etc.).Probably about $450-$550 to be done professionally.
It should be done under 1/2 hour labor charge. Hourly labor rates vary greatly from $65 to $115. Depends where you live.
I am sure by now you've had this done. But for anyone else who may wish to know.... Let's rule out regional differences in labor costs....whether it's a shade tree mechanic or at a dealer....etc. This is not the easiest job to do. First you have to pull the passenger side tire and remove the inner fender splash shield. Remove the belt and pull the harmonic balancer.....the sensor is mounted behind it and can only be replaced by pulling the balancer. It's not extremely difficult but it does take time.
It will cost between $300.00 to $500.00 to replace the rack and pinion on a 1996 Chrysler Sebring. This cost includes labor and parts.
I have had two Pathfinders (87 and 95) and have not attempted repalcing the water pump. It is a labor intensive job that requires removing the front half of the engine including the harmonic balancer. If you do attempt it yourself or have someone else do it you should also replace the thermostat and timing belt at the same time as it will cost no extra for labor, just parts. The dealer did the whole job a year ago for around $900 which included everything. Pricey I know.
