If you do the job yourself, for both heads and a valve job, gaskets and all, somewhere around $ 600.00. If you send it to a garage, not really worth it. Hopefully you have a friend who can do the job.
The gasket is between the head and the intake.

you have a blown head gasket. the compression from the engine is building up in the cooling system. this can only be caused by a blown head gasket. that is the reason for the overheating as well.

go to your local library and see if they have the motor or car manuals with that info.
You will need to do either a cylinder leak down test or a compression test.
maybe the bulb is burnt
