In short, you need to find the wheel with the square bolt sitcking out the front. It should be one of the top wheels in the main serpentine belt loop. The tensioner was the top left pulley and I used a 5/8" with a large socket wrench and had no trouble.
The ac belt has a tensioner that is accessed from below, and takes a tensioner tool to loosen. Remove the serpentine belt, release tension on the ac belt then the belt can come off for replacement.
To change the AC compressor on a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus, first disconnect the battery and recover the refrigerant from the AC system. Next, remove the serpentine belt and disconnect the compressor's electrical connector and refrigerant lines. After unbolting the compressor from its mounting bracket, replace it with the new unit, ensuring all seals are replaced. Finally, reconnect the refrigerant lines, electrical connector, and serpentine belt, then recharge the AC system with refrigerant.
