You would be better off investing in a manual or find someone that has done it before.
Some cars the gas tank has to be dropped, but one we just did in a 90 hatchback camaro there was a cutout inside the hatch, so the tank didn't have to be dropped.
Also ask your parts dealer, as they are usually pretty well trained, I was ASE certified, but the parts guy could be an old mechanic and have just as much or more knowledge than a certified tech.

The fuel pump is down in the gas tank. Remove the tank and you will see where the fuel pump is plugged in. Just remove the bolts and unplug everything and reverse the procedure with your new pump.
