lower the k member by removing the 2 motor mount bolts, 1 on each side of the block. Make sure to have the motor supported with a lift, and the car elevated on jack stands. Now remove the 4 k member bolts (2 on each side). once this is done you can undo the bolts on the sway bar bracket, and the torsion bars on each side of the vehicles front end. Make sure to support the k member in the center with a jack. Now if the engine is unbolted from the mounts you can raise it about 6 inches with the hoist . you can also lower the k member on the jack. You should no have room to access the oil pan bolts for removal. You will most likely have to remove the 2 bolts on the oil pan pickup, which can be very difficult, so you can remove the pan. This is a moderately difficult job taking about 4-5 hours.
