1. disconnect the negative battery terminal.

3. take the inspection plate of the bottom of the panel.
4. disconnect the wiring and fuel lines.
5. take out the fasteners holding the fuel pump into the gas tank.
6. take the fuel pump assembly out of the gas tank.
7. replace the whole unit if you are not adept at mechanical things.
8. Pull the motor off the fuel pump assembly
9 replace the motor and the assembly and reverse these instructlions to put it back on.
