All of your cylinders do not do the same thing at the same time, one is igniting the fuel, one is compressing the fuel, one is exhausting, etc. Spark is only going to one cylinder at a time in rapid succession. They generally do not send spark to the cylinders in the order of 1-2-3-4 ...
