If the instrument lights come on but the brightness isn't working you probably have a damaged light switch. They usually aren't too expensive, but on the other hand it depends on the vehicle and the parts distributor. Also if the brightness is controlled by a switch other than the headlight switch, then this rheostat may be bad and need replacing.
go to settings then go to brightness and you can fix it from there.
Turn the brightness control up. Could be the reset button for the odometer or another switch.
Be sure the brightness control switch is not turned off, Check the fuse, Check the bulbs.

i have dash light problems also and my easy fix is just hitting the dash . the lights all work again after i do!

Push the Fn (Function) key which is at the bottom left of the keyboard next to the Ctrl (Control) key and then push the up or down arrow to change the screen brightness
Go into Settings, Brightness. That's it...
Make sure you check your light control knob. Sometimes it gets turned down and the dash lights brightness is controlled by this knob. That is usually what happens. If this doesn't work, I don't know what else to do. Hope this helps.
Instrument Cluster Bad, Dealer Repair Only
You should first make sure that the instrument panel dimmer control is not turned down, this can sometimes happen when dusting or cleaning your car. If you are not sure where it is, check the owners manual.
If the climate control doesn't work on a Dodge Intrepid a faulty connection may be the issue. Re-soldering the connections, if they are lose, will fix the problem.
