It's a little more in depth than the average hub assy, but do-able. The 4 wheel drive is vacuum operated and the assy comes out. The parts are supposed to be replaced, i.e. o-rings etc, before re-installing. The hubs are expensive, about 250 each, but with a little time you can replace these without having an extra labor bill on top.

How do you replace a front wheel bearing on a 2000 Hyundai Sonata GXE?

AnswerRemove the wheel, and then remove the brake assembly then remove the rotor next you will have to remove the front axle. Once this is removed you will now be able to see the bearing now you have to remove the housing that the bearing is located in it should be 3 bolts that hold it in place once you get it free you then need to have the old bearing pulled out by a hydraulic press and then have a new bearing pressed in. Most machine shops are able to remove and press the new bearings in once the new bearing is in just reassemble everything. This is a time consuming project.
