Buy the Haynes repair manual, look under ignition switch removal. Follow the directions and they will get you to where the switch is visible, remember its not the key part but the slide switch between the key switch and the dash. Getting to the 2 screws that hold it to the column requires patience and a torques head bit and quarter inch socket and ratchet. Somewhere along the line you might run into a torques security head ( has a pin that mates into a hole in the torques head bit). Remember the sequence because about every 3 years you will be replacing the switch. An emergency repair to get you down the road can be done with a pair of needle nosed pliers to bend the metal tabs back over where they are separating and letting the unit spread apart. Careful when you take the switch completely loose! I had one pop apart and springs, slide bars and pins flew everywhere. Put key switch in run position at start of removal, the replacement switch should be in that position so they will go together easily.
