Remove the tire and wheel from your 1989 Toyota Corolla. Remove the end of the axle. Remove the axle seal. Remove the wheel bearing. Reverse the process to install your new wheel bearing.
No. You have to replace the bearing. If your local shop is good, takes less than 1 hour labor plus the cost of the bearing.
The buzzer that lets you know the key is in the ignition in a 1989 Chevy Blazer is in the steering column. To access it you would need to remove the steering wheel with a special tool, or remove the ignition assembly. The key makes contact with a tab that activates the buzzer.
Could be that the bearing is going out. I'd take it out and run it out of the car to see as maybe something got in there and you may not havr to replace it
Bearing Straight was created in 1989.
To replace the rear wheel bearings on a 1989 VW Fox, first, safely lift and secure the vehicle on jack stands, then remove the rear wheel. Next, remove the brake drum and the retaining clips or bolts holding the bearing assembly in place. After that, use a bearing puller to extract the old bearings, clean the hub, and install new bearings with proper lubrication before reassembling the components in reverse order. Finally, ensure everything is tightened to the manufacturer's specifications before lowering the vehicle.
