Henry Ford can (and in fact should) be described in generally positive terms as one of the most influential persons who lived and worked in the 20th century. Despite shortcomings and oversights on his part, his commitment to making technology work for ordinary people led to the first practically efficient motor-car, to a manufacturing technique (assembly-line production) that revolutionized world industry, and in fact generally improved working conditions for factory (and other) laborers in his time and beyond.
