I have this truck. I've measured my mpg several times and only average 12mpg.
Directly underneath the engine.
Answer the oil sending unit on a 3.2 dodge engine is underneath by the oil filter.
underneath the big plastic plenum on top of the engine.
underneath the car. somewhere near where the engine and transmission hook up.
Rather deep inside the engine, underneath the coil packs.

It's directly underneath the plastic cover that covers the top of the engine, the plastic cover pulls off and the intake plenum is underneath it.
On the top of the engine. You have to remove the four coils to access the plugs underneath.

The thermostat is located on the top of the engine, where the top radiator hose is connected. The hose has to be disconnected, and the inlet on the engine is removed, with the thermostat underneath.
