Can you tell us little more? Does the engine squeal when the car is just sitting and idling?
Or, is the squeal from the suspension .... it squeals when you're moving or turning?
Check the wheel bearings to start
Have you checked the power steering pressure line?
The Pontiac Grand Prix has a Timing Chain with a spring loaded tensioner. The tensioner is know to wear, crack and then break. The timing chain and tensioner should be replaced at 100,000 miles. This is a pretty big job that can be done with the motor in the car. $$$ Ray
The belt tensioner on a Pontiac Vibe is located near the front of the engine, typically on the passenger side. It is a spring-loaded pulley that maintains tension on the serpentine belt, allowing it to drive various accessories like the alternator and power steering pump. To access it, you may need to remove any obstructions, and it can usually be adjusted or replaced using a wrench or socket to relieve tension.
The front wheel bearings, of a Pontiac vibe, can be replaced by first removing the front wheel. Next, remove the axle end cap. Remove the bearing and reverse the process to install the new bearing.
Cant They are a sealed, non servicable unit. If they are making noise, they must be replaced, about $135 each
It could be a belt slipping... the bearings in your ac compressor going out... low fluid level in your power steering reservoir
How do you change the supercharger belt tensioner in 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP?
You can't replace just the wheel bearings. You have to replace the whole hub assembly. Costs about 200 bucks per wheel at a repair shop. I have had both of mine replaced.

To replace the power steering pump on a Pontiac Sunbird, first, disconnect the negative battery cable and drain the power steering fluid. Remove the drive belt by loosening the tensioner and then detach the pump from its mounting bracket. Disconnect the power steering lines and electrical connectors, then remove the old pump. Install the new pump by reversing the process, ensuring all connections are secure and refill the power steering fluid before testing the system.
