Your Shifter has a safety feature that will only allow you to put your car in gear if you step on the brake. If you blew the fuse it wont let you move the shifter so change the fuse in the fuse box.
park safety switch on the back of the brake pedal is bad or disconnected
if it is an auto check the wiring around the gearshift as this may be telling the car that it is not in park!!

Did you check operation of stop lights? They are wired into same circuit--if fuse blown neither will work

A 2007 Chrysler Sebring that will not shift out of Park will probably need a shift solenoid replaced. This is inside the transmission and the transmission might have to be taken out of the vehicle to be fixed.

The most common cause is a broken spring retainer in the shifter assembly.
Set the parking brake before you put the shift in park when parking.Take shift out of park before releasing the parking brake when driving.
Depress brake pedal. On a 2005-2008 there is a spring retainer that breaks inside the shifter.
