windsor 5litre engine is same as windsor 302 ci engine
3.4 liter is the metric measurement used to describe the engine capicty of the engineexample is ford used to have a 302 ci engine. it is now callled a 5 liter engine
Rule of thumb: There are 60.4 cu.in per liter on any engine. Example: for my 5 liter mustang (302 cu.in) you Multiply 5 x 60.4 = 302 cu.in. 6.1 liter x 60.4 = 368.4 cu.in
Ford calls their 302 cubic inch V8 engine a 5.0 liter
302
It is called a 5.0 or 302 but in reality it is a 4.942 Liter engine which is 301.579343 cubic inches. Ford did not call it a 4.9L because they already had a 4.9 liter in the 300 cubic inch inline 6 cylinder and wanted to avoid confusion so they rounded up an called it a 302.
It could be a 302 ( 5.0 liter ) or a 351 ( 5.8 liter )
1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 for the 302 ( 5.0 liter ) high output engine The distributor rotor turns COUNTERCLOCKWISE
It would help to know the Ford model and year because Ford uses two firing orders ( either the " standard " 302 / 5.0 liter or the high output 302 / 5.0 liter The " standard " is ( 1 - 5 - 4 - 2 - 6 - 3 - 7 - 8 ) The high output is ( 1 - 3 - 7 - 2 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 8 )
The 4.6 Liter has 260 horsepower 302 lb/ft. I know nothing about a 1999 Ford 4.8 liter engine.
5.0 Liter or 302 Cubic Inch V8.
Ford calls their 302 cubic inch a 5.0 liter and their 300 cubic inch inline six cylinder engine a 4.9 liter ( GM is closer when they call their 305 cubic inch a 5.0 liter )
