that all depends on what engines your talking about and rear end gear ratios but basically the chevelle SS 396 would whip a cougar eliminator.
To many variables, can't answer that one.

i know a 89 5.0 5 speed iroc ran 14.70 secs, and a 1968 350 4 speed chevelle ran 13.5 secs in the quarter mile, a 1968 camaro 396 4 speed ran 12.60 depends on motor size, driver, and tuning.
NO!!!! The Chevelle is a bigger car than the Nova and has a longer wheelbase, which means it also has a longer driveshaft. A 4 door Chevelle also has a longer wheelbase than a 2 door, meaning it also has a longer driveshaft. You CAN have a Chevelle driveshaft shortened to fit a Nova because the vokes are the same, but it would be cheaper and easier to just get the right driveshaft to begin with.
My3.8l tops out at about 107mph. But that is in 3rd gear, it still has 4th to go. Because of the speed limiter it won't let it go any faster than that.
