Depends on model year. On 1st Gen vehicles (1967 - 1969), it was just a trim package, so it could be had with either a six or eight cylinder, since it could be added on with the Z28 or Super Sport packages, as well as the base model. But the six cylinder engines for those years were inline 6 engines - not V engines.
From 1970 onwards, they RS package came with a V8 engine.
An RS camaro came stock with a v6 but came had the option of a v8, turns out most RS's were v8's
Well the 1992 RS automatic is like 170 HP. I had a V6 Swapped out for a V8 on my camaro, I don't know how much it was. My car was a 1983 Camaro with 107HP V6, replaced it with a 1992 RS V8 170HP.
Yes
Either the 3.1 V6 or 5.0 V8
They made both V6's & V8's? Check your vin #. What kinda silly question is this?
what engine does it have, the v6 or v8?
no.
yes it came with a 305 tbi or a 3.1 v6
Around 1-3 MPG less in both city/hwy
Depends on whether it's a V6 or V8
2.8 V6 - 135 hp, 5.0 V8 - 170 hp
Yes IF the original engine in the rs was a 305. rs v6's and v8's have different trannys.
