Is a stripped-broken nut on the inside of an oil pan from a 1999 Chevy Suburban a normal occurrence or was excessive forced used during an oil change?
Im not sure exactly what you are asking. Did you find a broken nut in the used oil when you drained it? if so it most assuredly came from inside the engine, or is the oil drain plug stripped? in that case then yes it was tightened too much or cross threaded and tightened too much.
