No.
Passenger side valve cover
.017, or, a matchbook cover, works great.
The front of the valve cover, on the drivers side will have a cap.
Pass side between the valve cover, and firewall.
Under the valve cover where the valve springs are.
Is it not on the outer cover? If not, the fuse block is not stamped or marked?
water pump, intake, timing cover and valve cover if you tear them up taking them off
No
You have 2 in the bell housing in the back of the engine block. 2 in each sides of the block, and 2 in the front of engine,1 on each side of the timing cover
Its on the passanger side of the engine under a black cover.. its is between the belts and pullys and the engine block.
Sorry, But Chevy heads don't have freeze plugs in them. Never did. The engine block has 8 plugs in it. 2 in the back where the fly-wheel is, 2 on each side of the block, and 2 in the front of the block on both sides of the timing cover. 1 of the plugs on each side of the block is hidden behind the motor mounts. You can't get to the one's on the back of the block unless you remove the transmission or pull the engine out.
Many ways. Pontiac 400 has a cast aluminum timing cover, that mounts the water pump directly on it, Chevy 400 has a stamped steel timing cover, water pump mounts to the block. Pontic 400 has fuel pump on the drivers side, Chevy is on passenger side. Pontiac has a separate valley cover below the intake manifold, Chevy intake IS the valley cover. Pontiac distributor does not go through the intake manifold, Chevy does. Pontiac has 10 head bolts per side, Chevy has 17. Pontiac has long exhaust ports that bend 90 degrees from the side of the cylinder head, Chevy exhaust ports end at the face of the cylinder head. Pontiac spark plugs are above the exhaust manifolds, Chevy is below. Pontiac 400 is physically larger than the small block Chevy 400 also.
