It is possible, but you will probably break the key lock. There is a little white plastic piece that breaks off when you do it. I've had to do this twice. Now the driver's door handle doesn't work and both doors don't have a working key lock. I have to use the key in the hatchback and climb through to open the doors. If you have to do it, do it on the passenger door.
