your chev dealer can get key code for you by using the VIN number

The Chevy caprice classic does not have anti theft technology. I have made many 1 dollar duplicates of my key and they all work fine I own a Repair Shop and what you say is true to a certain extent. In the past 2 weeks we have had 3 cars towed in for a no start. They were using the valet key. After awhile the pass code will not recognize it and will fail to start. If your key has a chip(resistor) in it then it is for antitheft.
It is a hydraulic camshaft, Not a roller cam. Chevy did not start using roller cams until late 1995
The 1993 Chevy Caprice is designed to run on regular unleaded gasoline with an octane rating of 87. Using a higher octane fuel may not provide any benefits in terms of performance or fuel efficiency. Stick with the manufacturer's recommendation for the best results.
To fix a drooped bumper on a 1984 Caprice Classic, first, inspect the bumper mounts and brackets for any damage or rust. Tighten any loose bolts and replace any broken or missing hardware. If the bumper is bent, you can gently bend it back into shape using a heat source like a heat gun or by applying pressure. Finally, ensure everything is aligned properly and reattach the bumper securely.
To remove the light switch from a 1993 Caprice Classic, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable to prevent any electrical issues. Next, gently pry off the switch cover panel using a flathead screwdriver. Once the panel is off, locate the retaining screws for the light switch and remove them. Finally, disconnect the wiring harness from the back of the switch to fully detach it.

Hotwiring a vehicle is illegal and unethical, as it involves bypassing the ignition system without the owner's consent. If you're having issues with your 1991 Chevy Caprice, it's best to consult a professional mechanic or locksmith for assistance. If you've lost your keys, consider contacting a dealership or using a locksmith service that can create a new key for you. Always prioritize legal and safe methods for dealing with vehicle access.
Drain the Caprice oil. Unbolt the pan and lower. If needed, raise the engine by using a jack and unbolting the engine mounts. Take out the pan and clean the old gasket from the pan and engine block. Reinstall the pan with a new gasket. Reconnect the motor mounts if needed then fill the engine with oil.
What type and weight of oil are you using in your engine, and how many miles are on it?
I can't recall any Chevy using a 302. It was the classic Ford small block used in early Mustangs. Chevrolet did produce a small block 302 used exclusively in the 1967 - 1969 Camaro Z/28.
