It is immediately under dash near steering column.
To connect an engine code scanner to a 1989 Ford Bronco, locate the diagnostic connector, which is typically found under the dashboard near the steering column. Use a compatible OBD-I scanner, as the Bronco from this year utilizes the OBD-I system. Plug the scanner into the connector, turn the ignition key to the "on" position without starting the engine, and follow the scanner's instructions to retrieve any diagnostic trouble codes.
That would be a OBD II system. You need a code scanner to read the codes.
Drivers side, under the steering wheel, under the dash. It has no cover.
Diagnostic plug. Diagnostic connector. Data link connector.
To clear a P1309 error code on a 1998 Ford Ranger, first diagnose the underlying issue, which often relates to the ignition system or spark timing. Use an OBD-II scanner to read the codes and address any related problems, such as faulty spark plugs or ignition coils. Once repairs are made, you can clear the error code by disconnecting the vehicle's battery for about 15 minutes or using the scanner's "clear code" function. After that, take the vehicle for a test drive to ensure the code does not return.
Fuse # 3 is a 20 amp fuse for the OBD II scan tool connector and the cigarette lighter

The code reader test connector, on your Ford E2 50, is located beneath the dashboard on the drivers side. The connector is on the left side of the steering column.
Code P0304 on 2000 Ford Ranger is: Misfire at cylinder 4 detected. May be cause by a bad spark plug.
