There's 4 on each side of the motor. You should see a long cover on each Sid of the motor. Remove the cap and the coils are the 4 screwed-in pieces you see. The coils are on the spark plugs.... If you replace the spark plugs and there's oil inside of the plugs and coils, you'll need to replace the plugs, coils, and the valve cover gasket..
