code says PO302 misfiring
Misfiring in number 2 cylinder. Could be an ignition problem with a bad spark plug or spark plug wire. Could also be a bad fuel injector. Could also be a mechanical problem such as a bad valve. Start with new plugs and wires.
It depends on the reason that cylinder is misfiring. It could cause serious damage to the catalytic converter.
That would be an engine cylinder misfire , but either more than one or it can't determine which engine cylinder is misfiring
P0300 - Random Misfire . P0300 indicates multiple cylinders are misfiring or the PCM cannot identify which cylinder is misfiring .
If cylinder one is misfiring on the Kia Sportage 2.0 it could be that the spark plug in that cylinder needs to be changed. It can also mean that the piston in that cylinder is sticking.
