Bad gauge and/or coolant temp sensor
The coolant temp sensor doesn't control the gauge. There is a sensor in the head on the driver's side that controls the gauge. It is fairly easy to get to, probably one of the only things on a 4th gen. lol
240 up
Temperature.
The problem could be a dirty sensor or the sender is no good.
a 350 is a Chevy motor, if it doesnt work you will need to cut some parts out to make it fit haha
instrument cluster needs to come out and apart to gain access and replace gauge
It probably calls for a 195 degree thermostat in that vehicle, so if the thermostat is the correct one and it is functioning properly, when fully warmed up the gauge should read around 195 degrees give or take a couple.

Yes.
There was no RS Camaro in 1994.
The sensor for the heat gauge on a 1994 Ford Ranger XLT is typically located on the engine block, near the thermostat housing. It is often a threaded unit that screws directly into the engine and reads the temperature of the coolant. This sensor sends the temperature data to the gauge on the dashboard, allowing the driver to monitor the engine's operating temperature.
