Visit an auto parts store that has the computer that will read the codes that these lights represent. Then, you will have an idea as to the problems you face. Anti lock sounds like brake issues to me and PCS (Precision Control Steering) may affect your power steering. At the least, you should check your fluid levels.
The easiest way to reset the 'perform service light' on a 2003 Jeep Cherokee is to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. If this does not fix the problem, try turning the key on, but do not start the vehicle. Pump the throttle 3 times and turn the key off. Then start the vehicle. If the light is still on after that, there might still be something wrong with the vehicle.
Have vehicle scanned to determine problem
If the light is on for the Grand Am Air Bag Unit, there could be a problem with the air bag. Some vehicles that have been in an accident and had the air bag deployed may need to have the air bag light reset. Disconnecting the battery for about five minutes might take care of this problem. If not, the vehicle should be taken to a dealer for service of the air bag.
On a 1998 Mercury Sable : The " Service Engine Soon " light is the same as a " Check Engine " light Something is effecting the engine emission controls It might go out by itself or if it doesn't and you have used the vehicle a few times ( from a cold start ) and have topped up the gas tank since you first noticed the warning light , then you should have the vehicle scanned for any trouble codes to help diagnose and repair the problem ( P.S. I'm not a mechanic / technician )
The check engine light (service engine soon) comes on and stays on when a problem is detected by the self diagnosis system of your vehicle. Generally, the problem is in the emissions or something that is affecting the effectiveness of the emissions, but other causes can trigger the light to come on, too. To determine the cause, the vehicle will need to be taken to AutoZone or a shop that has an OBD2 scanner, or for 1995 and earlier models, an OBD1 scanner, While a scanner will not give you the magic answer, it will give you a code that narrows down the problem area.
If the service engine soon light is flashing on the 1997 Geo Tracker, you might have a sensor that has been activated because your vehicle is due to be serviced. You could also have a sensor that is malfunctioning.
Vehicle Stability Assistance (VSA). The light will come on when it is engaged. If the light stays on all the time you might have a problem. Seek professional help.
It is possible that your alternator might be going out. It also could be a problem with your battery. You should have it checked by a professional or you could be stranded .
Go to Auto Zone and have the computer codes read for free.
You have to change the service light because there might be dust in the suction thingy that holds the light, and if its not that, you have to replace the wiring.
Your transmission needs service. It most likely was overheated or there is a problem with one of the shift valves. might be your torque converter
Of course you can drive it with the check engine light on. But, depending on what the problem is, you may do damage to other components on the vehicle. For instance, if you have an engine miss causing the light to come on this will in time ruin the catalytic converter and O2 sensors on the vehicle. I would advise you to have the ECU scanned to retrieve the code which will tell you what part of the vehicle is being effected. The bottom line is that it all depends on what the problem is. You may drive the car with the check engine light on with no problems and then again it might cause serious problems.
