Hi,
I have had little success finding a used switch, the one i did find was $50 but your local dealer should have one available to you as well which is sold for $110.

It's not a bad choice. My kid learned on a 99 Intrigue, and insurance isn't too bad (better than a lot of small cars), but we already owned the car. If you need to buy a car for a teen, get a used four door sedan you can pay cash for, and drop the collision coverage. A 99 Olds Intrigue fits the bill, and can be had for less than $3K. I also had a 99 Toyota Corolla, and my insurance agent told me the kid would be cheaper on the Intrigue. Plus the Corolla is more expensive to buy for the wild child to scrape up.
You can buy furniture but there is a limit for a fire hazard. Soemtimes there is a glitch where you buy a house and it already says there is a fire hazard.
I haven't seen one lately, but most GM's require a power-steering pulley puller. You should be able to borrow one from a local parts store for a small deposit, or maybe buy one from an online auction site.
Inside the hazard switch. Just buy a new hazard switch and you'll fix the problem. No tools required for replacement.
