I have the same car, and have had the same problem. For me it was just a bad altenator. Would seem like we'd make it then blah...we're looking for a jump in the intersection again, and leaving the parking lot to home was a chore too. Could be other things too
I had no heat in my 93 ciera, come to find out, i lost a gallon of coolant. Had it filled when I went in for an oil change. Immediately worked again!
To put down the backseat in a Cutlass Ciera, first locate the release levers or straps, which are usually found on the top of the seat back or in the trunk area. Pull the levers or straps to unlock the seat backs. Then, gently push the seat back forward to fold it down. Ensure that the seat is securely locked back into place when raising it again.
the throttle position sensor is bad
If it has spark and fuel I would suspect the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor has failed. If it has no spark, I would suspect the crank sensor has failed. If it has no fuel, I would suspect the fuel pump has failed.
On the 2.8 its on the oil filters right, it will have a little wire comming from it. If it has blown, it may be hard to find as it will be buried in sludge. Again that's on the 2.8. Cant say that's where it is on the 3.3.
Yes, if there are two cooling fans one operates off of engine coolant temp. and the other operates off the A/C. The one that operates off of coolant temp will run for a while then shut off, then run again and continue to cycle. This is to keep engine at operating temperature. The other one runs when the A/C is on because when the compressor engages it puts a load on the engine, which will create heat beacuase the engine works harder. as long as both fans operate your okay.
Yes, and no. What year? Generally speaking the bottom of the line A-body was the F-85 A Cutlass was a better F85 A Cutlass S was a sporty Cutlass; the Supreme was a cushy Cutlass The 442 was a sportier Cutlass S The W30 was a sportier 442 Many parts are shared, all the way from the F85 to the W30, but then again many very significant parts differ- engines, cylinder heads, transmission, etc. And, of course, the packages varied every year, so you would have to specify a model year to be more exact. In certain years, 442's only got a big block engine, and no Cutlass was available with one. In general though, no, if you are paying for a 442, it better not be a Cutlass or Cutlass S.
what is the problem if a Chevy diesil engine start and run 30 minuits died and start right up again
That is a typical thing on most cars, let it cool down some then try again
You put them on in the right order again.
The engine is not getting fuel, or it's not getting spark.A few of the possible reasons would be a bad fuel pump, a bad computer or simply a dirty key causing the anti theft feature to activate as happened to me more than once on my 97 Cutlass GLS.Before you have it towed, make sure your key is clean, wait 15 minutes since the last time you tried to start it for the anti theft to reset and try again. If it still won't start you probably need the services of a mechanic.
sadly no
