To manually close a sunroof on a Ford Explorer, locate the sunroof control switch, usually found on the overhead console. If the sunroof is stuck or the power is not working, you can use a flathead screwdriver to gently pry off the plastic cover near the sunroof motor. Then, use a 10mm socket wrench to turn the motor manually until the sunroof closes. Always refer to the owner's manual for specific instructions related to your model year.
The sunroof may have stopped working after changing the radio due to a few potential reasons. It's possible that during the installation, a fuse was blown or a wiring connection was accidentally disconnected. Additionally, if the new radio has different power or ground requirements, it could affect other electrical components, including the sunroof. Finally, if the vehicle's battery was disconnected during the radio swap, it might require a reset for the sunroof to function properly again.
There should be a hand piece on the sunroof. By pulling the handle and pulling forward this will close the sunroof.
To fix a sunroof in a 1990 Mercedes 420, first, ensure the power supply to the sunroof motor is functioning properly. If the motor is working but the sunroof is stuck, check for any obstructions in the tracks and clean or lubricate them as necessary. If the motor is faulty, you may need to replace it, which involves removing the headliner and accessing the motor assembly. Lastly, ensure that the sunroof seals are intact to prevent leaks after repairs.
