If the running lights on your 1989 Olds Regency won't turn off, first check the headlight switch and ensure it's fully off or not stuck in the "on" position. If that doesn't work, inspect the wiring for any shorts or corrosion, especially around the light switch and fuse box. You can temporarily disconnect the battery to turn off the lights until you diagnose the problem further. If the issue persists, consider consulting a mechanic or an automotive electrician for a thorough inspection.
Fuse for parking lights probably blown.
The only safe way to turn off the running lights is to use a StarScan tool that will disable that feature (required on new cars in Canada)
You disconnect your battery and then reconnect your battery again.
There is likely a problem with either the headlight switch or the associated circuit.
To fix or disconnect the daytime running lights on a 1999 Grand Prix, you could begin by checking the running light fuse. If the fuse is damaged or blown, you can replace it to fix the lights. Remove the fuse if you want to disable to the lights.
There should be a wire for your day time running lights that goes into the parking brake valve behind the dash, just disconnect the correct wire and they are disconnected. It worked for me on a 07 classic xl.
You didn't mention a problem.
I'd check your alternator. Disconnecting the positive terminal while the engine is running will tell you. If the engine dies when you disconnect the battery, it's your alternator. If it keeps running it's something else, like your battery. I had the same problem.
If emergency brake is on 1 click it turns daytime running lights off. Pull out on emergency brake handle and see if this fixes the problem.
If your lights pulsate while the car is running in your E320, you probably have a problem with the alternator or distributor. This type of issue is most likely electrical.

On a 2008, fuse 13 (10 amp) located inside the fuse box in the engine bay controls your DRL. Removing it should disable your lights.
